Natural Stone Maintenance Guide

Natural stone is a long-term investment that rewards a little care. This guide covers sealing schedules, daily cleaning and the products to avoid.

Sealing your stone

Ask the stone supplier whether the exact surface needs sealing, which product is compatible, and how to assess when it needs renewal. Existing treatments, finish and use affect the answer; a generic calendar or water test is not a complete assessment.

Daily cleaning

Follow the supplier's cleaning instructions and wipe spills promptly. Avoid acids such as vinegar and lemon, abrasive pads, bleach and other harsh chemicals unless explicitly approved for the exact surface. Never mix cleaning chemicals.
