What to Include in a Stone Fabrication Quote

A useful first brief separates what you know from what still needs checking. Rough measurements can start a conversation, but they are not an approval for fabrication.

Label the drawing and material

Use one unit consistently and label each component. Include overall lengths, widths, thickness, visible edges and joins. State whether you need material supplied or want existing material assessed.

For example, a vanity enquiry can show the top’s overall size, which sides are exposed, the basin model and the desired tap position. Mark undecided details as ‘to confirm’ rather than supplying guessed measurements.

Identify cut-outs and installation needs

Attach the actual sink, tap or appliance documentation where available. A product name alone may not identify the cut-out or support requirements. Tell us if the project needs fabrication only, supply only or installation.

For a trade request, list the required operations and component quantities. Customer-supplied stone requires assessment; do not arrange handover on the assumption that every material can be accepted.

Include location and requested timing

Give the project suburb and preferred collection or delivery arrangement. Explain access or coordination issues relevant to the job. Requested dates are planning information, not a guaranteed turnaround.

Send plans through the fabrication enquiry form. Final measurements, scope, price and timing must be confirmed for the individual job before work is agreed.

Have a question about your project?

General guidance only. Ask the team about the specific material and use you have in mind.
